About the Historic White Oak Farm Shoot
The first time I stepped foot on Historic White Oak Farm’s (located just north of Cincinnati, Ohio) pine forest, I knew I needed to photograph here! Kristen, the owner of Historic White Oak Farm shared that the previous owner planted this pine forest himself. It felt like a little secret hidden gem and I couldn’t wait to celebrate it in a photo session.
The story behind this stylized elopement was to have a couple wake up on the farm in their lovely rentable barn with comfy beds, tons of comfort items, and of course chickens! Together with the other vendors we foraged natural elements to hand-built the twig altar. They exchanged their vows as the golden sun set over the water and then returned back to an intimate
The idea for this entire shoot actually came from a bundle of sticks. I love creating new things, and I wanted to take on hand-building an arbor. I am absolutely blown away by how everything turned out, and I am so thankful for the vendors who helped make this incredible idea come to life.
